Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market Opening for 2026

This year when our country celebrates its 250th anniversary and Bethany Beach its 125th anniversary, the Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market will open Sunday 5/31/26 for our 20th season. We will, of course, have your favorite vendors from past years returning, but will have a new face in the honey department. This year Master Beekeeper and expanding honey farmer, Patrick Carey of Carey Apiary and Farms will bring a new look for honey products, including raw honey, raw pollen, Hand & Lip salve, Dog paw balm, leather conditioner and of course bees wax candles. He operates 50 hives while rapidly growing and may even have an active hive or two in the market (enclosed of course).

As always the market will be open from 8:00 am through noon on Sunday mornings right up through Labor Day Weekend in the PNC parking lot at the corner of Garfield Parkway and Pennsylvania Ave. For everyone’s convenience, there is always free parking in the paved Town lot adjacent to the market. We are proud that our market is a non-profit, community-run, producers only market. Our invited vendors only sell products they grow, produce, or catch within 120 miles of Bethany Beach.

Seafood is in the market to go along with our many farm products including the popular Rehoboth Bay oysters of the Nancy James Oyster Company and the Local Delmarva crabs, crab cakes and salads of Jackie Blue Crabs. Cory Savage a 5th generation crabber with his wife Jackie not only catch the crabs but also pick and prepare their delights in their own Snow Hill picking facility. Jordan Nally and James Kane, life long Delawareans, bring their love for oysters to our Bethany Market where, if you like, they will shuck for you or demonstrate the art. You can slurp them down with your favorite seasoning in the market. It does not get any fresher than that.

Our much loved and long time regular vendors will of course include Bennett Orchards in their 20th market year with their early season blueberries and mid season on peaches of many varieties. Herbs, Spice and Everything Nice brings their USDA certified organic vegetables and plants. Old World Bread will continue to support your sweet tooth with their many varieties of baked goods and of course Harry Wimbrow of Wimbrow Farms of Whaleysville, Maryland returns with their extensive spread of melons, cantaloupes, squash, corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. The popular Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms will be returning as well with some of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania’s “Mushroom Capital of the World’s”, best.

Dittmar Family Farms offers regenerative chemical free agriculture practiced just north of us in Felton, DE. This young family brings a full range of greens throughout the summer as well as numerous vegetables and farm raised specialty beef and goat meats. Pereyra Farms from Newark, Maryland will feature a full spread of vegetables including melons, cantaloupes, corn, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, as well as farm fresh eggs. Derby Mills Flower Farm from Dover run by two sisters, Paula and Vickie, will return bringing some of the best flowers and botanicals around, all varieties of flowers, herbs and light vegetables.

Story Hill Farm has been growing their Heritage Breed Randall Cattle herd so will be well stocked with beef products. Come by for their tastings which are spiced with their own Henlopen Salts harvested and produced from local waters and on their Frankford farm. Don’t forget to pick up some free range eggs and locally produced custom peanut butters when you stop by their trailer. Stop by Bethany Beach’s Farmers Market this summer.

Come early for the best selection with no crowds.
