Celebrating our 20th season
Summer is almost here, and the Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market is getting some well-deserved attention. The Coastal Point recently featured our market in a lovely piece highlighting what makes this community gathering so special, from fresh-picked produce to raw oysters enjoyed right at the sub vendors’ tents.
Mayor Ron Calef shared some great details about what’s coming this season. Bennett Orchards blueberries are on their way, peaches should arrive around July, and our seafood vendors are already a hit. Corey Savage of Jackie Blues and Nancy James Oysters are both bringing the freshest the Delaware coast has to offer, and the roasted oysters are drawing rave reviews.
The piece also gives a warm welcome to our newest vendor, Patrick Carey of Carey Apiary and Farm, who brings raw honey, pollen, salves and beeswax candles to the market each Sunday.
