Celebrating National Farmers’ Market Week! Farmers’ Markets date back 5000 years to ancient Egypt when travelers along the Nile were able to shop – and swap – with merchants along its banks. Markets were evident in the United States (colonies) in the late 1600s. The Farmers’ Market in Easton, Pennsylvania, established in 1752, holds the distinction of “America’s longest continuous running open-air market.” These markets have provided a venue for farmers to provide the freshest, ripest, healthiest produce to their communities. Our farmers are our neighbors, and your support is tangible! Plus, open-air markets are just plain fun!!

ALERT – Somebody lost a gift card to a local merchant at the Market this Sunday. To claim call Nancy at (302) 540-5228.
