Cloud cover for most of the morning, along with a smattering of sprinkles, made for a comfortable Market Day.

Bennett Orchards did sell out of both blueberries and peaches Sunday, but not until 11 am, satisfying a steady stream of shoppers. Beware, however, that the seemingly endless crop of blueberries this season will eventually end – perhaps next week – shop early!

We are fast approaching that sweet season where all of your favorite local produce will be available! Among our grand trio of growers – Ficner Farms; Wimbrow Farms; and Herbs, Spice, and Everything Nice, you will find an ever- increasing supply of corn, tomatoes, cantaloupes, beans, peppers, and squash!

Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms has added mushroom powders, such as Lion’s Mane which protects against dementia and Alzheimer’s. Lion’s Mane also promotes healthy metabolism and liver function, among other benefits!

Story Hill Farm continues to treat us to delicious Sunday samplings of their products – this week, bite-sized, grass-fed beef burgers! Don’t forget they partner with Dave Burns of Henlopen Sea Salt to farm local salts from the sea. Premiering this week was Henlopen S-P-C Fire, sure to pack a pleasant punch!
