Mother Nature’s interpreters, indefatigable meteorologists, bluffed us this Sunday. With safety concerns, in view of the thunderstorms predicted, we opened only partially this week.

Bennett Orchards brought beautiful Duke blueberries this week, with plenty of Spartan blueberries coming next week – sweet and plump!

Herbs, Spice, and Everything Nice announced that their large heirlooms are beginning to ripen – Cherokee Carbon and Cherokee Purple. Look for them next week along with Japanese cukes, Swiss chard, spicy radishes, and more herbs!

River Cottage’s flowers included dainty blue Bachelor’s Buttons, which were supposedly worn in a coat lapel by young men, to “advertise” they were single. Dawn also brought snow peas, and more surprises next week!

Spotted at Wimbrow Farms was none other than Chantel with 4-month-old Olivia – congratulations, Chantel! In addition, a wide array of produce was in attendance. New, next week, will be eggplant, bell peppers, beets, and pickling cukes!

Honey Bee Lake Apiary did not disappoint, and brought plenty of their golden, sweet honey and yummy homemade pies. Don’t miss out!

Don’t forget – 2 new items are expected next week: pork from Story Hill Farm and tilapia from 302 Aquaponics!

Thank you to all our patrons who dodged rain drops to shop the Market today. Rest assured, we have ordered perfect blue skies for next Sunday – God willing, we will be there in full force!
